For some licensees, a tablet PC may be the preferred platform for a single user installation of Captools/net, wherein both the server suite of Captools/net programs and Captools/net Desktop program reside on the tablet PC.

 

However, when you attempt to install the Captools/net server suite of programs on a tablet PC you may find that the IIS installation process encounters difficulty in the form of an error statement as follows:

 

 "Setup cannot copy the file staxmem.dll.insert Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD".

 

The following resolution was derived by a Captools/net user in documentation for a Toshiba brand tablet PC. This may apply to any tablet PC since they share the same version of the MS-Windows XP operating system:

Follow these steps to resolve this issue.

 

   1. Click on the Windows Start Menu.

 

   2. Click Run.

 

   3. Type esentutl /p %windir%\security\database\secedit.sdb in the Open box, and click OK.

 

   4. Reboot the computer.

 

   5. Install IIS through the Control Panel Add/Remove Windows Components applet.
