Captools/net's system architecture has been designed to accommodate usage in situations ranging from single users to multi-user, and remote hosted situations.
The Captools/net software is actually a group of programs which interact with each other. In a multi-user environment all of these programs are installed on a "Server" computer, with the exception of a specialized "client" program, called the Captools/net "Desktop", which resides on each user's computer. This software architecture permits easy centralized management of Captools/net and permits the easy addition of users and accounts to the system simply by the upgrading of hardware or the addition of hardware.
Three typical installation scenarios are described below.
